The video was uploaded one and a half months after the upload of her first YouTube video. Taylor quit making videos on her Youtube Channel at 2 months and more than 100,000 subscribers. The reason for this was mostly due to technical issues with her brand new equipment and her overwhelming popularity. She began producing videos after a one-month break. In August 2017, she was interviewed in Shane Dawson's video, and soon afterward, hit 1 million YouTube users. Wired UK, in its February 2019 issue, reported that she earns $1,000 per month from her YouTube channel.

Dennis Helfer and Elaine Helfer are the parents of Helfer. The two were born in the town of Donalda, Alberta Canada. The parents of her are Dennis and Elaine Helfer. She attended Stettler's William E. Hay Composite High School. Three sisters she shared with lived on their family's farm of wheat.
